Prairie State Winery: Tasting Room


	Tasting Room Complimentary samples are offered in our tasting room located in a historic 1850’s building, in downtown Genoa. Original pie tin ceiling and creaky wood floors are the foundation of our country store motif. Along with our many award-winning wines we offer a wide selection of gourmet food products, mostly made in Illinois. Although the tasting room harkens back to a simpler time, we have a very modern nitrogen dispensing system by which to sample our wines. This allows our customers to experience the wines just as the winemaker intended, without the contamination of oxygen. The back half of the building, known as the Barrel Room, is a cozy place to sit and share a bottle of Prairie State wine with friends and family. Here we host our Friday Night Wine Downs with live music, the second and fourth Fridays of each month.
